JDM replica fog light performance
I searched for this but all I found were questions on how to install them...
I was looking to buy a set for more visibility upfront but I don't know how they perform. I know many people have them on civics so, besides looking nice, do they work well?

They work upclose to par with the OEM fogs. Many people complain that the output isn't enough for EG fogs, but OEM EG fogs don't put out that much either.

i have fogs on my eg sedan. they work really good. i had to settle for clear though since yellow is really hard to find for the sedan. yellow cuts through fog alot better though. my friend has yellow on his itr and they cut fog like a *****
They look sweet from what i've seen, You can always get clear with yellow bulbs or paint them yellow with glass paint. I'm not sure how that would affect the output much, or Use laminex film. I still have yet to tried mine out. When i hooked them up something happened where it f***d my relay. Benn to lazy to figure it out.

Well hopefully my install will go well. Once they're on, I'll try to get some decent pictures of their lighting area for anyone like me who is wondering.
I can tell you that clear fogs with laminex film won't perform as well as stock yellow color, and from what i've seen the best output comes from yellow housing and clear bulbs, i have the real oem stanley yellow housing fogs, stock bulbs, and here's some output pics

i really wanted yellow but it is very hard to find for the 4 door, so i had to settle for clear. but i don't have amber corners so it doesn't look off.
ive had fog lights on 2 of my cars now and they dont really help you see when its foggy, there more of just looks/added lighting. dont get me wrong though i love the look! go for the yellows.
I wouldn't be expecting a huge amount of light out of any foglight. Proper foglights are basically just to increase your chance of being seen by other motorists as well as create a short, wide beam of light just in front of you to help you see the road markings. They are not a driving light.
