Hey guys I'm getting ready to fire up my car tommorow and was wondering what you run in the radiator. I thought I heard you cannot run antifreeze so do you just run regular water or am I supposed to used distilled water? Do you run any addititives

Thanks

I run antifreeze in my car but more not a 50/50 mix (only ~30% antifreeze - it's cold here!). I do only use distilled water (won't have mineral deposits forming in your engine) and I use Motormax (similar to water wetter but cheaper and NASCAR uses it in place of water or antifreeze).

not sure where you are from, but here in PA it has been in the 10's-20's lately.... you may want to wait until you are at the track to do the 100% water thing. I was paranoid with my car in Cleveland for some work and started it every couple hours inside my trailer....

you don't want 100% water anyways. Just run the water wetter. HC can't run generic antifreeze.

Most tracks don't allow it. Its really slippery ****. Hard to clean up too.
