Default Are Shark helmets any good?

I bought one today; payed about 220. But now I'm having second thoughts... I never heard of the brand. It doesn't seem too popular. The model is s650.

The fit seems to be ok though. What I do notice is that there are not vents in the rear of the helmet like that Arais and Shoeis.

Should I just shell out the difference for an Arai or Shoei?

I'm a novice rider btw.

Shark helmets are good. Not having vents on the back is not necessarily a bad thing. If the helmet is designed well, it will vent air.

The most important aspect of helmet is how well it fits your head.

You probably would have more responses if you posted in the Motorcycle forum.
