why is my car running like a piece of....help me please

ok so i swapped out the h23 with the h22a vtec. i was running the p14 for a while til i got the money to get the p13. got the p13 and it was running like ****. so i put the p14 back til i could figure out what the problem was. came to the conclsusion that the injectors were h23 instead of h22. so i got injectors and its still running like ****. it running in like a limp mode. i can floor it and my car want go anywhere. its throwing code 22 but that doesnt have nothing to do with it running like it is. i used the fuel rail from the h23 i think. so would the fuel pressure regulator have something to do with it. or maybe its not getting enough spark. i dunno and its driving me crazy. keep in mind that it runs fine with the p14 in..

plus if u woulda saved the money u spent on the headlights n the hid kit than u probly woulda had enough for a decent motor from HMO but instead ur stuck with a shitty motor that aint runnin

I am the guy who sold him the engine, AND installed it!
I had the car running good when I left, only issue was VTEC wasn't wired yet.
You have had a JDM P13 since day one. I included with the sale. I used JDM H22a injectors and the H23a1 fuel rail and Dizzy.
I have no idea what has happend since then.

I told him before he bought the injectors that he already had the correct ones, I ran that engine in my S Lude for well over a year with no problem. I sold him my complete swap, minus tranny (he used the H23)(I was using the F22).
He tried telling me the ECU I sold him was bad, I told him that there is no way it was bad. He bought a new one anyway.
Wasn't the problem, then you guys convinced him the injectors were wrong-bad, that wasn't the problem.
I Honestly have no clue what it is. I never had any problems with the setup.
The only changes made between my setup and his were the fuel rail, wire harness, dizzy, and tranny. It has to be one of those. Or something related to his car.
Any advise would be great. I would love to get this kids car running good for him so he doesn't feel as though I ripped him off.
I drove all the way from WI to NC to help him with this cause he really needed the help and I love working on Hondas, but ran short of time to get the vtec wired. Everything else seemed to be fine. Started and ran to operating temp with no problems. Sounded great when I left. Then a couple days later all of a sudden there were issues.
PLEASE forgive his attitude! He is actually a real decent guy, just not real mechanical of a person, and prolly getting frustrated - confused. This has been a few months since I installed it.

i dont have near enough information to give you a "good" answer to what your problems may be. Have you broken down the distributor to make sure everything looks ok? had the ignitor tested?
If it runs fine on the p14 and not on the p13, lookup information on the difference between the p13 and p14. Obviously there will be differences like vtec, but different ecu's use different sensors and delete certain sensors to be looked at. There could be a sensor that the p14 doesnt look for but the p13 does and it could be broken.
this is just one big wild goose chase right now until you can give us more concrete info.

lol whats sup derick...i called you today to ask you about it becuase its driving me crazy...but the only reason i got new injectors was bc you and another guy said they may be bad or whatnot so i went ahead and got new ones..that didnt work...do you think that the with us using the fuel rail it from the h23 had something to do with it...it runs like **** with the p13..i mean i can floor it and it go no were...do you think that maybe the fuel rail with the fuel pressure regulator is not letting it get enough gas. if so i have a h22 fuel rail.

i understand what you are talking about with the ignition..but the reason i never checked it was because it ran strong with the p14. so i just figured it to be something else...but i guess i can check that...nothing else is working.
well if u have the h22 fuel rail y dont u use it? just put it on n if its still a problem at least u know it wasnt that so its one less thing u have to look at
I tried calling you back today, no answer. I will do my best to keep helping you with this. Wish one of the NC locals here on HT could give you a hand.
is the ctec wired in? the h23 harnesses need to the wire from the soleniod and oil pressure to be wired into the ecu i did this to mine since my h22 harness was cut.
