Help, changed my battery and lost 1999 TL Radio code, have S/N and VIN...
Hi,
n00b to your forums here, looking for some help.
I changed the battery in my 1999 Acura TL recently and now it says "CODE" when I try to use the radio. Luckily on my particular car someone had the wherewithal to put a plastic label with the S/N on the leading edge of the radio under the wood trim!
The S/N is B90551771

Nevermind, Got it from one of the few Acura dealers in the country open Saturdays!
Do keep in mind sometimes for one reason or another theyll ask you for the Reference Number. On the 99 TL Radio its MT939A0. Dont go through the trouble of tearing apart your dash if you get asked for this, its just the reference of the model type and if you look up your radio on Ebay you can see it on the label.
