hi

i bought a JDM Prelude a few days ago that i want to break for spares and to swap the H22 into my EDM lude

the JDM Prelude came with TCS traction controll unit and LSD and i wonder if i can use the TCS in my prelude

does anybody know if i need ABS to make TCS work ?

You'll have to b emore specific about what traction control system you're talking about.

Is it a 4th gen with a LSD?

Is it a 5th Gen and you want the ATTS system?

JDM means very little

the car is a 91 JDM BB1 that has a real traction control unit called TCS that you can switch ON and OFF via button

i see that there is a second throttle body cable i think that when the prelude looses grip the throttle body closes a little bit

i want to swap the whole TCS system in my EDM lude and need more infos how it works and how the TCS unit knows that my tyres are spinning

 

This is my project also. I doubt it closes the TB. It rather works with ABS sensors as it is connected with the ABS ECU. Currently I have no time to play with this (also I can't find all the pieces of the system I pulled out from the car... Gotta search a bit more).

If you find out anything interesting, would you be so kind as to share the knowledge here, please? I'm subscribing this topic.
