Default where to get a new tranny?

i was told i need a new trans for my 95 LS. now im no mechanic so i need to have a shop do it, and they told me they could get me a used transmission for like 800. i think i can get one for less so where do i look? its a '95 non-vtec 5 speed. id perfer the LS trans because of its longer gear ratio, its not a track car, just for everyday driving. so the LS trans is better for the highway.
