very easy, you will need clutch/brake pedal from any 88-91 ef, clutch cable from 88-91 ef, flywheel, clutch, rear bracket, rear mount, shift linkage, transmission, and then you can run the stock ecu which will rev lower, or find a 5spd, good luck
the mount where it is welded to the frame is in a diffrent place. i had to cut mine off and reweld it back on when i did it. but you could probably bend it slot it and use washers to space it it you aren't a perfectionist.

WTF!!!! dont listen to this guy he obviously never did a auto to man ef, there is no cutting or welding involved all you have to do is relocate the rear mount to the other set of bolt holes on the rear crossmember

Iv'e done 2 auto to manual conversions on crxs. and probably 50 swaps. the rear cross member on both of the auto to manual swaps i did had the other bolt holes already on them because that mount isnt in the same place either. theres also an interlock relay that needs to be bypassed to get the ignition key out on a 91. the pedal assembly does just bolt up and there was a clutch hole already in the fire wall with a plug in it. The shift linkage required drilling 2 holes thru the floor between the seats .
theres pictures in here i think.

The transmount welded to the side of the unibody in the 91 auto crx is about 3/4 inch off. Possibly its not on a hatch? Im bored sitting at my work at the honda dealer so i cant look for the pictures i might have on my hard drive. I remember the first time i did one about 1998 i had it all ready to bolt in and it just would not line up . i had to take the engine back out I called Place Racing and asked if they sent the wrong mount. they said they said i had the right one for a manual and it would not work on a Auto car. i looked it up on the net and saw other people with the same problem. I drilled out the spot welds and put the engine back in on the crane. lined it up so it wasnt on a bind marked it, tacked it, pulled the engine back out and welded it. the next one i did had body damage and i fabricated the whole mount.

you are completely wrong! i just did an auto to manual swap on my 91 crx dx and all i had to do was change the mounts on the tranny and crossmember and move the rear mount to the other set of threads. and it all fit perfect. you obviously did way too much work than you had to. im pretty sure you still were using the wrong mounts...

maybe it has somthing to do with the years of the auto cars. cuz i just did a b series in my friends car about a week ago and no problems for me. i actually did it all myself. got lucky and everything just slid right into place.
I have never done this swap but I am sure you can find it by doing alittle Searching in the top right hand corner. You might even be able to find it in the FAQ section. Good Luck.

sorry for jacking the thread but, anybody have pictures of how they drilled the hole on the firewall and was it just 1 wall of metal or 2? is there anything on the inside of the firewall im supposed to use to hold the grommet to the wall? and is that bitch bolt for the pedal assembly located above the air vents necessary because mine just so happened to have magically disapeared above the vents somewhere and i dont feel like dropping the whole colomn just for one bolt. please let me know
