Default EP seats into an EG hatchback

Well, I picked these up from a friend of mine for $400 (front and rear...I'm getting the rear next week to see if they'll fit).

Obviously they don't bolt in perfectly, so some cutting and welding was necessary.

1. Cut the front brackets off of the EP seats.
2. Bolt the front brackets to the floorboard and take a hammer to them to flatten them out.
3. Bolt the EP seats to the floorboard (the rear brackets).
4. Tack weld the front brackets to the rails.
5. Remove the seats and weld the front brackets to the rails completely.
6. Put the seats in...enjoy

One problem we ran into was that the rear left (if you're sitting in the seat) bracket didn't line up so well. The hole in the bracket was about .5" off, so we drilled the hole open a little more and put a big washer on the bolt. AND the seat buckles don't fit...so swap those over as well.

The seats are VERY comfy, but they sit about 2" higher than the stock ones. I wouldn't recommend them if you're a big guy...(I'm 5'8", 130lbs. and it's a perfect fit for me )

They're welded on the other side as well...so I'm gonna bet that they won't go anywhere.

Thanks for the compliments...it only took about an hour to get everything done

Your car is 5-speed with an auto brake pedal?

Automatic that was converted to 5-speed.

I haven't gotten around to getting a standard brake pedal in

Can't you swap the seat pans on the EP3 seats with the EH2 seat pans?

They sit about 2" higher than the stock ones, but if you're not so big (like me), they're comfy.

You CAN get them to sit at the same height...but we were in a hurry and they ended up being perfect for me

Has anybody ever tried to get the rear ep3 seats to fit into an eg hatch?
