Default Need Input: MNS Prototype CRX front lip ( 50% complete )

Hi guys i have been working on a CRX protoype lip, something clean looking and affordable around the price of $45-60. As of now the lip is made of semi hard flexible rubber. Initially i wanted to make a lip that could withstand impacts and the rubber can do it, but the shape is a little off so I was thinking of backing it with fiberglass to make it sturdy and hold shape. Just curious how many would be interested in the lip when finished, if not i will drop the project and start on a whole new idea.

The pictures i have are from what i have finished so far, im trying to work on the corners this week

Please leave me comments

it is a little different. the SI lip wraps on the bumper, this lip starts at the bottom of the bumper. the shape is different where the si lip is mostly flat, this lip angles. thanx for the input, keep the comments comming.

forgot to say that it uses all the stock mounting points.

Good idea....I would buy one if it was larger then the Si lip I already have. I'm more of a function over form guy. aka could care less if it looks slightly different then the factory one it better perform a function over the factory one.

Of course my point of view is subject to the fact that I already have an Si lip and I'm sure 40-60 is a lot cheaper then you could get the factory one for.

Looks to be less aerodynamic than the si lip.
Actually the si lip is less areodynamic than no lip....

I think it needs to be lower than the stock Si lip, otherwise what's the point.

it does appear to look like a regular si lip, needs to be a little wider in my opinon. otherwise, for working to make something new for crx's

Pics aren't that great, hopefully you end up with something that doesn't look like it was taken from another car (cuz we can do that already haha). Props for a cool idea tho
