Default What year mudflaps are these?

I can't figure out what year these are. I took them off my friends 88 or 89 hatch, and test fitted them on my 91 hatch - even knowing they wouldn't fit. Now I have had some people tell me these are actually 90-91 flaps, but if so, why wouldnt they fit my hatch? Maybe because I have a new bumper? Check out the pics...will get pics of fitment on car soon! They are for sale too

Now I am told the ones below are actually 88-89...?

It doesnt matter just look at the mounting points and compar it to your car, if it fits then there you go.

Well if they were on a 88-89 and they wont fit on a 90-91...what do you think they are...our guess is just as good as the person who told you 90-91, burt seeing as they dont fit, i would have to say what i said b4 88-89, unless he did some fabircating to make it fit. But that does not look to be the case... you answered your own question in the post.

ok. i found out for sure. the second set you posted (which i owned and sold were from an 88-89 civic hatch i pulled off myself). an easy way to tell the difference between the 88-89 and the 90-91 is the shape of the bumper. you can see that on the 88-89 version the sides and outside corners are straight and the 90-91 version, are curved. heres a pic for reference.

He's right. They are completly different and not really interchangable. I used 88 on my 90 bumper, but they never fit right. So I'm getting 90 so they work.

these look like EE hatch mudguards to me. i have a couple sets of EF hatch ones in the garage. look at the part number on them, its usually on the inside lip where it mounts to the bumper. if its hard to see spray it with amor-all to make it easier to view.

^ the upper 2 are 90-91 and the lower is 88-89, right? I have the 88-89 set at home and they look like the lower ones. I'm talking about hatch back ones.
