I have been looking at a 2002 Civic LX with 130,000 on it. They want 6 grand for it. I was just wondering if that would be a good deal, and what things to look out for? Also, what maintenance should it have had by this time?

 

I would check for accidents, leins and all that crap. Do a carfax on it.

I would also make sure the timing belt was done ( i got mine done at 170,000km's when Honda told me to) other than that just get a regular inspection done.

If u do want to be super cautious, get a compression test, and leakdown test done to make sure the engine is still in good condition.

 

I"m not sure if thats a good deal or not. my parents are selling there 2002 civic LX with 80k miles for $8200

 

pretty much buying any other car...just do what Vantage is telling you..

 

Timing belt, fuel pump, oil and water stuff, see what needs replaced
