HELP ALTERNATOR BOLT BROKE!
Okay so long story short. Driving to friends, car lights dim, very alternator like problem. I floor gas it comes back on. Next I get to house. Pop hood hoping the belt was loose. I notice the top 10mm bolt loose. I go to tighten it with my 3/8 ratchet and it breaks! It looks all corroded and stuff. I looked at the rubber piece that was covering. It was all nasty too. What can cause this. I tried spraying some stuff to fix corrsion on the bottom bolt hoping that will work. Does this mean new alternator or what.

Nothing "fixes" corrosion...
The spray that youre probably referring to, dissolves oxidated material and adds a lubricant for removal only. You have to replace the bolts...
Before the bolt broke, did you check the belt tension? AutoZone will do a free alternator test to diagnose it.
As far as the bolts go...
Just get new, stainless steel bolts and it wont happen again.
