Default Fan issues?

as my name states once again i have a 1989 honda accord with v-tech tunning. Anyway the engine got really hot but didnt seize. And my cooling electric fan never came on. Im wondering if the thermal switch which my dad told me is most likely the problem or the fan itself died. Ty for the help :D

jumper the temp switch at the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side; turn on the key and see if the fans run.
You can also jump power from the battery to the fan connector to see if the fan motor is any good.
