Default 94 integra motor swap info

hello, I just bought a 94 integra LS. The motor and trans are weak. I wanted to know if I can install a newer than 94-95 ls motor without losing my power steering and a/c. Plus, the I want all the gauges to work and pass emissions in IL. All the junk yards and acura dealers say that I can only install a 94-95 ls motor and 5- speed trans. If you know that any later engine would work or links on integra to integra motor swaps please let me know. My e-mail is kvictork@hotmail.com

i would recommend sticking to a 94-95 motor. gettin a newer motor than that would require you to change your smog equipment to OBD2. OBD1 standard emissions for 94-95 are alot easier to get away with than OBD2.

yep but if i switch the disributer and injectors to obd1 on the obd2 engine and all the rest is the same will the power steering and a/c lines all meet up?

Would a newer GSR motor bolt right in and match up with the AC and power steering?

Why would you want a 96-01 LS motor, it has the same hp/tq numbers as your '94. You can swap in any 94-01 GSR engine/trans. with no problem. Just re-use your injectors and distributor and find an OBD-I P72 ECU.
