SFWD 4-cyl weight: EF guys, what are you doing?
I see the SFWD minimum weight is 2400 lbs with a single power adder, so what are the EF guys doing to add weight to achieve that minimum? Just trying to get some ideas and clear things up for myself, thanks!
where does your car weigh? i am actually 2650 with my eg. i know i am a fat *** he hee. just curious. i mean with the cage and all the turbo stuff, that stuff should add up.
I'm 205lbs, and i got the integra down to 2455 with me in it, with a very heavy turbo/manifold combination. With a normal sized driver it shouldn't be hard at all to get a civic chassis underweight.

ya.. I mean whats the reason for having it SFWD weight if you arent even going to run NHRA or are you?
If NHRA didnt come to our area, we probably would have done a little different on our car setups since we'd be racing other series.

well i know raene is in vancouver, and they have mission raceway, which is nhra. but they dont have the sfwd series in canada as far as i know, thats why i was wondering. just curious
That's true, there have been no import competitions up here unfortunately. I do have reasons for wanting to build a class-legal car, though.
For starters, BOTI comes to Seattle, and it'd be a LOT of fun to go down and run that
I'd like to run it in a competitive class even though I will be in no way competitive with my crap-*** setup!
Secondly, there's the possibility there's going to be a big import event here at Mission Raceway this summer, so I'd like to be ready for that. Even if I get my *** kicked by people coming up across the border to race, I just want to be in there
It's like a dream come true!

And finally yeah my track's got NHRA rules, but that's not why I'm doing this. There's a lot of **** talkers, and I'd like to prove I can still go fast while being TRULY street legal. That means full interior, all the body panels, and I wanna put a sub in it. I probably won't have to add that much weight to hit SFWD minimum weight after all that crap, but of course I don't want it in there all the time since there's hardly any NHRA events, so that's why I want removeable weight options
I'm also getting water injection for Street Legal nights so they can't bitch about my using race gas, and I'll have a separate tune for C16 at NHRA events where I'll have to remove the water injection.
OK questions:
1) I see sandbags and such are illegal, but having weights in a box is legal. I'm guessing the box itself is not allowed to be removeable
What do people use for weight in the boxes?
2) Does the weight minimum include the driver in race trim or is that the weight of the car no driver? When do they weigh you in?

Raene have you gotten any more info as to what exactly there Import Invasion event is?Is it a weekend long drag event similar to a BOTI?Classes etc?
The Mission raceway schedule is still being finalized for the year. I would just bookmark the website http://www.missionraceway.com and keep checking for more info as we get closer to the date.
Good luck Ian!
