Tie it down and floor it.

Put it in one of the locked in gears, not just in drive

Use D3. Shift into D4 after completing the run to make it a little easier on the tranny.

I am interested in this aswell. I have heard some say put it in 2nd and you say use D3 which still changes gears automatically. What is your reason for saying use D3 instead of 2nd?

it depends on how the gearing is on your transmission. Generally you do not want it in a really high gear if you are boosting a stock motor, it will cause more heat in the engine.

yeah thats a tough one cause if you floor it in D3 youll down shift into second. if you run it in 2 that will work but who has dyno'd in 2nd gear?

I would just suggest getting a car with a standard tranny...
automatic = dissaster waiting to happen.

lol awesome resolution. sign in window at shop reads: "In order to dyno your car if its an automatic you must sell it and buy a 5 speed sorry for any inconvenience this may cause - MGMT"

seriously if u go to a shop they should know what to do. if they dont then dont let them tune your car
