Tranny Question
I am in the need for a tranny but do not have a lot of money.
So I found this deal on a local board and it is an LS tranny. But he says
the transmission shop he got it from said it had a high rpm grind every now and than. From second gear. And that was from the tranny fluid being so old and dirty. They drained most of it but there it still has some in there and it show how dirty it was.
The tranny is only $375.00 do you guys think it would be worth it?
Thanks
Ryan

Oh yeah, I heard LS Trannys have longer gears than GSR's</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yeah... They do.
i dunno dude... I know that sometimes if you put GM Synchromesh, or even Honda tranny fluid it can help with some grinds. There really isnt any way to tell if it is or is not going to grind, so if you wanna take the chance, go ahead... If not, you may either have to rebuild that one, or spend even more money on a new one.
It may be worth a shot, but then again it may not be..
It just depends on how much you trust the seller.
