Is there a way for an exhaust/auto shop to tell if you have a cracked exhaust manifold? I'm talking about a crack that is not obvious, or cannot be seen.

 

i doubt it but i have never asked anyone in an exhaust shop. i know in the honda specialty shop that i work in, if you can't see a crack or find evidence of a leak then you can conclude there is none.

do you think you have a leak, if so why?

 

ehhhh, pull the heat sheild off its like 3 bolts and look real quick, if you specifically ask them to theyll look, i know when i was atech id look for free for ya, gave free brake inspections when everyone charged .5
