Default 13.09 @ 103....then it happened.........

.507
1.879
5.434
8.370
83.90 mph
10.916
13.096
102.79 mph

#40 NOS jet, #28 Fuel jet, 12 degrees timing, 50 psi fuel pressure

That was the second pass, first was 13.098 @ 101.8 mph. So car WAS
consistant.

So lets go for a 3rd pass. 1.816 60 foot, pulling like a CSX locomotive!
Bang 3rd, starting feeling a little weak, but bottle was getting empty.
Hit 4th and car fell on it face. ABORT run but it was too late.

Got back to the pits on 3 cylinders, I knew motor was hurt. Pull the
plugs, #3 was GONE. Put in spare plug and car still ran just the same.

Oh well, it happen while racing and what this motor has been through, it
should have never lasted this long! I drove it home, had to stay one gear
lower to pull the hills.

I was gonna happen sometime and was fun while it lasted.
Future motor plans?????
More SOHC POWER!!!!!!!!

I'm sure you will have it up and running again in no time... good luck with it.

At least you had alot of fun with it and that is what counts

Same happened on my sohc. I have ZEX and the bottle was almost empty. I was squeezing in third when the power just seemed to fade out. I thought it was the bottle low on nitrous but when I shut the nitrous off I was rollin on 3 cyl. The plug on cyl 4 was melted away. I mean nothing left of the plug below the threads. Put new plug in and still ran missing. I just got the LS swap. Haven't pulled motor apart yet (just sittin in my garage), wondering if you take yours apart can you take pics? I wonder why it blew. Do you think its fuel related problem. I am thinkin that with the bottle pressure low its not good to squeeze. Amazing times though for the sohc. I'm just hopin to get mid 14's with 55 shot and b18b

Hey, I have an Hx shortblock if you want it. 56k on it. Cheap.

Probably not worth the hassle of shipping though.

KS-R always N8 meet, but I really want a VX shortblock to play with.

Info on Z6 motor.........
Bone stock with AEM cam gear, I/H/E and 2.25" test pipe. about 85 shot and 20x8x14 slicks at 11 psi. 7700-7800 launch.

Simple + tuning, and yes, I CAN DRIVE!

Sorry about mishap? I'm not mad at all!
I had fun. This is the motor that had the bad main bearing issue from the LW crank pulley. I slapped in new "green" main bearings and added spray.

I sorta wished it would have kicked out a couple of rods!

Remember one thing, I knew I was pushing the limits (only wy to find it!) and was having fun!!!!!!!

Only a D motor, not like it was a ITR or CRVTEC setup.

Next motor, long stroke D15 using stock parts.
Oh yeah, no spray a 1.5L

Engine had 55k on it when I bought it. Installed a LW crank pulley when I installed the motor, @65K the main bearings were toasted. Polished the crank with 600 grit emery cloth with the crank still in the car. Slapped in some "green" bearings from Honda and fired her back up. Knowing the crank was "hurt" I found a used ZEX kit for $350 local. Engine now has about 100k on it and 25 bottles of juice ran thru it.

Beware of "Tim the Stick" and his "AKSC" I will likely have one from him soon!
