Default New CRX project..not what you think..

Just started messing around with Cinema 4D, so I thought i'd share my new project since it is CRX related. Some may have seen this on some other sites but just sharing for those who havn't... What I have done so far. This is the Spline cage it will be used as a reference for when I start making the actual faces of the car. Anyone else into 3D modeling..
A mock up of the ref shots and started the hood

Got the hood pretty much laid out...

Started the fenders

UPDATE:

UPDATE:
did a test render to see how the hood looked. It still needs some work around the edges and its not all modeled yet...but its getting there.

UPDATE:

Finished the hood and started on the fenders..

UPDATE:

Started on the doors...

personally i dont use the spline cage, i tried before but it just seems to be extra work and just drags things on.

Wow, its come a long way since I was in college.

A good CRX model would have a welcome place in the online race-simulator communities.

My friend has a 78 Firebird and he's going to school for 3d modeling. He did on of the firebird and its awesome. I told him to do one of a crx for me so I can animate it but we'll see. I'll have to find pics of the firebird.

i use rhino and 3dsmax at school and have thought about doing a crx for a while...im still learnging but here is a model i did for a class...the assignment was to make a 100% acurate to scale model so i had to focus on making every curve and control point correct
