Default Installed my ITR Wing today.

Well my ITR Wing came in today, not more then 20minutes from arriving home I had it mounted on my car. Haha. Here are some pics there not good they were taking with my cell phone sorry. So now I finally got ITR OEM Front, Rear Lips, OEM Optional Sides, OEM Wing

Only thing I have a question about is that the one side where the brake light wires are. There is a hole about the size of a quarter or so. Well that hole is only half way covered by the wing. And I think if I put a rubber stopper in that the wing would not sit properly against the hatch. So what has everyone done?

I may do a 5-Lug conversion, not sure at this moment. I have only had the car for about 3-4 weeks now so I am not 100% sure where I want to take this. I might just drop it and leave it how it is. Then again, I might end up dumping thousands into it. Not sure.

But thanks. Btw: Anyone have any thoughts about that plug? Right now I got duct tape over it, so I need to find a fix.

exactly my thoughts. Would look MUCH better without the side moldings also.

To do it properly, you weld plates in the holes, perform body work, and repaint the hatch. People have used plugs and tape. The aluminum foil duct tape will provide a decent seal. If that area leaks, it is into the interior of the car. There are many threads on this subject. You can search for pictures of solutions.

like the person has mentioned already the only proper way is to weld a piece of medal in there otherwise you can use tape
since oem itr's came with a 3rd brake light on the hatch unlike some of the low spoiler with led's on it. and thats why you have holes.

The OP asked what people thought. Are you not allowed to post unless you have some kind of praise to be said? That isn't very fair. An opinion is just that: The OP can do whatever he wants with said opinions.

Personally, I think it looks retarded because it isn't the real deal. Getting a five lug conversion may look cool and all, but you are seriously narrowing down your choices in wheels while driving up the costs. Is that something you want to deal with? Let's not forget about theft too. No one wants to steel a four-lug they want the five lug so they can be all hype-r'd out.

I personally like the style obviously, or I would not of done it. I have only had it for about 3-4 weeks and I wanted something that doesnt look stock but I did not something flashy or crazy. I love the way the Type R's look especially with the OEM optional sides. I just graduated college and I dont have enough for a real type r and I also dont really care about the motor at this point in my life so to me spending the extra money for one just is not worth it to me. I think it looks very clean and good the way it is and thats all I care about at the moment. Just because its not a "real type t" does not take away from the enjoyment that I get from driving and working on it. Again I am very pleased with the way it looks, I think its 100x better then stock or slapping on a body kit or an obixous wing or lip get. But to each his own opinion, thats what makes us human.

I doubt I will be molding the side moldings. To much work for what I want to do to it at this point. I do not have time to weld the holes in, and get it all painted. Also I did not know the holes would be exposed in the wing, I am kind of dissapointed in that. If I can not get a plug for it or find a way to get it covered to not leak I may have to go back to stock, hopefully I can fabricate something.

I want to keep this fairly stock as it has low miles and I drive to work 120 miles round trip each day. Therefor, I do not want to take away from reliabilty or having it not running and downtime. To me it will be pointless and not what I am looking for to put money into a motor that runs perfect and has low miles. It gets me from A to B with great gas milage. I do not race of any kind and will not be going to the track anymore for a long time, so I have no need for a fast motor or a type-r motor. So this is prolly going to be the extent of what I will do to it after I get my springs and struts on.

I got the wing from a member on here. I forget the s/n, I can look it up if need be.

Oh and theft is not a problem in my area, nothing gets stolen from anything. Plus I have a very good compustar alarm that came with the car.

What did you major in?

Personally if it were me, I wouldn't lower it. That causes too many problems down the road.

I got my BS in business administration. with a concentration in MIS and IT. Thinking about going for my MBA

And I am not slamming it when I lower it, I am done with that. The springs I have are a 1.7in Drop. So its not to low, I think it will be just about right.

No everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however I was just saying that everytime I see Ril post he always has something negative to say, thats it.

just so you know for your sig,
there's no such things as oem type r rear lip.
oem type r sides are just body colored stock side skirts.

what you got is called the "oem optional kit" to be politically correct. oem optional side skirt and oem optional rear valence, these parts were not souly for type r's they were for any 98+ integra trim level.
and reason its not called a rear lip is because it doesn't go all around the rear bumper, it attaches at the corner, hence valence.
thats why its called rear valence
