ZC Smog question for Cali ef owners
Hey everyone I am sure this has been asked a bunch before but I am at work and dont really have time to search through all the posts. Has anyone had problems getting a DOHC ZC to pass smog in Orange County. Or is it pretty much the same as a stock motor to them. B16's dont pass correct?
Thanks
Thanks
why wouldnt a b16 pass? its not a special motor neither is the zc motor,,no 4 cyl engine should have problem as long as the engine is in good shape has all the emisins **** and correct ecu,,no illegal aftermarket parts,etc...,,,
the thing you have to worry about is when they see ZC they call the thing illegal since there's no usdm version

u can not get it smogged or ref since the motor is from japan. u need a motor from the states to ref it and then it will be legal. only way is fake smog. altho i did smog my crx w/ sohc zc. the guy smoging my car didnt even know the differences, bearly passed cuz i have a super old cat.
