D16A6 Cylinder Head Parts Questions
I have a D16A6 head and I JUST got it back from the rebuilders. It's been decked .008" and it's almost ready for installation. He removed ALL carbon deposits and grease from the head, ported the exhaust and intake ports, shaved the valve seats, removed all carbon deposits and polished the valves, installed new valve seals and pressure tested the head for $227.90. He told me that I need to get a few cetain seals. My question is is what are they called? They are underneath the bearing caps for the camshaft and they are o-rings. He told me that I can order them from Honda but if anyone knows if I can get them from any parts stores, that would be great. Save me some time and money. They seal off the oil from the spark plug holes (not from the valve cover of course). If anyone can help me that would be awesome. Thanks!
The only ones that seal oil from the spark plugs are the ones that sit ontop of the head under the valve cover!!! They are available individually from honda or you can buy them aftermarket but as far as i know if you do that you have to buy a whole valvecover set with them included!!!

that is what i was thinking. when you post during the day, dont expect people to hop all over it. 8 at night and you woulda been answered but 2 pm, not much going on. If no one answers, dont make a new thread, especially if your 1st two didnt even leave the first page.

Actually dude, I screwed up and was hitting the reload button on my browser to see if I had any answers and it was actually reposting the same thread three times. I am sorry for this but you don't have to be so harsh.

Thanks bud, you knew exactly what I was talking about. I greatly appreciate it. Oh, BTW, would you happen to have the oem Honda part number for the gasket that goes in between the thermostat housing and the head? I would like to order that too when I order the o-rings.

I know what one's your talking about. It's an obscure question so I don't mind taking 5 minutes out of my day to help.
You need three of these: 91301-PJ7-000 (go to http://www.slhondaparts.com and put that in)
And one of these: 91302-PJ7-003

Just for reference to make sure these are exactly what you're talking about, #17 (in the picture) is the one you need three of and #18 is the one you need only one of.
The gasket kit I bought came with them (it was an aftermarket kit) but I don't know if you can get them seperate unless you order straight from honda.

Oh, well I posted in your other thread the same thing dr_latino answered here. Are you talking about the water neck (where the upper radiator hose goes to)? Because as far as I could find when I built my D16A6, it doesn't have a gasket. I just sealed it with hondabond and it worked great.
