Default AEM CAI, restricetive on top end?

Im running JUN III on 12:1 compression. Im using An ITR AEM CAI, ive heard that its somewhat restictive at 7500 rpms and up. I dont see how that could be, with the 3 inch diameter?

Sure as hell beats your stock air system. AEM CAI is what I use and have not have any problems with it. I'm still overwhelmed at how large the diameter is. I would think it would have enough air. Getting enough fuel is something easily overlooked.

I also have an AEM CAI. I don't know how you would get something to be les restrictive unless if you shortend it or went with a bigger diameter. If you shortend it then you wouldn't be getting the cooler denser air in. So I wouldn't recomend a short ram. I recharged my K&N filter last weekend. I went about 7000 miles on it before I cleaned it. I poped off my corner light and looked at it and it appeared ok. I went ahead and took it off and cleaned and man I had all kinds of rocks and and sand up in it. I always stay on the pavement. I couldn't beleive it. I am kind of worried about the oil from the filter coating the Map sensor but I would rather keep those fine particles out. Good luck in finding something better. If you do let us know.

Hey man, I use the same CAI and I've had no problems. If you thing it's too restrictive then maybe you should look into the Toda Individual throttle bodies. I've heard those were beasts.. Just a suggestion.
