Id go turbo.. It's a lot easier to make a lot of power.
There are tons of kits out there that make turbo'ing pretty easy, and there are some good tuners around the U.S.

How is this even something to decide between?
Your question should of just been FI, or N/A.

LS-turbo or LS-vtec? BOTH!!

But since I could only vote for one, I chose the turbo. You may end up spending a bit more $$$, but you'll get A LOT more bang for your buck.

Good luck.

How so.... Have you driven one lately.
My vote LSV-T, the best of both worlds.

Some of you say you get more bang for your buck with a turbo. Well how much would it actually cost for a good LS turbo set up, and how much power would I get out of it?

correct me if im wrong, but if your getting ure boosted car tuned, wouldnt it defeat the purpose to have vtec if they are trying to get a steady tq curve with minimal crossover ?!?!?

Oh yes, because his statement sounded like such seriousness.

If you like turbo's go with that! I was in the same position a few months ago and was thinking hard about doing an ls-vtec turboed but I didnt think the extra money was worth it. I've never had a vtec motor before so i couldnt tell you everything but I can tell you the parts(such as buying the head) are a lot more expensive if you don't already have them... I figured for the extra money I would spend on parts and machining(drilling out/plugging oil holes etc.) I could just as easily buy a bigger turbo or get my block sleeved etc.... In the end(in my opinion) I think vtec would be more beneficial for n/a, not that it doesnt help turbo, there are just other ways around the power difference with a turbo.

I would say go turbo but once again thats my preference and everyone has their own...

LS turbo

pro: more HP (250)

con: turbo = hassle and more money

LS vtech

pro: cheap good power/dollar

con: got to have low gear ratio trans to make it worth a sh*t

Either way have fun with the buildup!

Thats a pretty retarded response, i guess ur saying if i go ls-vtec than i can never ever go turbo.

I would love that, its just not feasible right now. I am hoping to do that in the future.
