Default 88-91 CRX Si engine harnesses all the same?

I'm trying to help a buddy of mine out. He has an 91 CRX Si with an LS swap.

It's got a hack job of a wiring harness, and the guy who sold it to him did some weird, retarded **** to the interior and engine harnesses.

I was looking at getting him a new Si engine harness to adapt to the LS motor the PROPER way this time. Are all 88-91 engine harnesses the same?

And, another question: Is the interior harness swappable as well? Like if we were to swap the engine harness and the under dash harness that matches it, is it possible without re-wiring the entire car?

No they are not the same. You are better off finding the same year harness and modifying it of fixing the harness in the car now.

I read the 88's are different. A couple wires are switched between the two main engine bay plugs. not sure about interior.
although when i had my old 91 std hatchback i put on some 88-89 stock tail lights and the plugs were different for the tail lights. I don't know if they were 88 or 89 though.

88 dosent have the fast idle wires.... so there is 2 extra wires on the drivers side, blue and blk/yellow. Honda uses a diff plug because it needs more positions on 89-91...

Thats all... oh, and its ez to confuse si and hf harnesses, they are different, ya...

I have a 88std but the entire wiring harness in the car is from my old 90 civic si. Their were many differences with the wiring harness especially underneath the dash. I don't remember them all, but I just ended up swaping over everything, fuse box under the dash and bunch of other miscellenous things.
