Optima Battery *Searched*
I've seen a few 5th gens with the optima batteries in them, but when I goto the Optima site they do not list a battery for the prelude. I guess my main question is what size battery can I use for my car?
ive been runnin yellow top for years now. its pretty beefy though. i had to cut the battery tray down in order to get the wires to reach their respective terminals. now i just took out the tray all together. it still sits fine though. doesnt move at all. im lookin to get rid of it actually...i wanna get the odessey battery
I have a Red Top... Got it in August.. Haven't really had any problem with it...
Actually, I had bought one from Autozone (Which I hate that place), and it was the Red Top with top mount posts, then I went by Advanced Auto Parts and they had it for like $20ish less... Only thing it was a Red Top side mount post... But anyways, I returned the one to Autozone, no I hadn't used it yet, and got the one at Advanced.
Actually, I might have got the battery posts backwards.. lol, Can't remember..
Anyways, only *slight* problem I had was that my battery cables weren't long enough, kinda.. I had to turn the little plastic tray that was in the battery tray around as the cables couldn't reach the posts over the plastic tray. So, that's all I had to do, not anything major, I want to move it to the trunk one day anyways..
But no problem with it otherwise.. I'll check when I go back out to my car later tonight to see which battery I actually got.. Heh

my red top has both top and side. but yes i did forget that you have to extend the wires. i had mine in the trunk to start with but with bandimere being an NHRA sponsored track they dont allow you to have a battery (wet or dry cell) in the trunk without a sealed aluminum box and an external kill switch
. oh well
