mpfi swap problem :-(
ok the motor is getting spark and I hear it pumping fuel...I bought a harness coverted from dpfi to mpfi from Carlos on here and I cant get car to start running...I am getting code 20 but I dont think that has anything to do with car starting does it???
if youv got a 90-91 civic with a 88-89 ecu then you'll get code 20 all the time because 88-89 had an electronic load detector in the underhood fuse box. 90-91 doesnt have it.. doesnt effect anything , mine has code 20 because of this. however if your car is 88-89 and has the same ecu then im not sure if it would cause the car not to start .

Timing? Sure the firing order is correct? Are all the injectors working?

My throttle did this also.
I had to adjust the cable some more. Play with the two nuts on the cable until you find the right place. Mine's perfect now.

Lol
Lol
the throttle stop? if you get it too far screwed in the throttle plate goes past closed to open and when you step on it it sticks. take the cable off and look at the plate and make sure its closing all the way and not past closing . make sure it opens freely . if youve adjusted that throttle stop your tps sensor will be off also. throttle stop is not supposed to be adjusted. but if it is you could use a digital multi meter to check the tps to see if its set right.
Just something that happened to me with a used throttle body once that someone had dicked around with before i got it.
