weight reduction

Default weight reduction

91 hatch si with d16 , would takin out my back seat do much.

all together seat belts and corisponding brackets along with upper and lower seat parts you might lose 50lbs.....every little bit adds up

Stripping your car isn't going to make it any faster. If will however make it an unbearable street driven car. You will only gain a fraction of a second and lets face it our vehicles are light from the factory.

I wouldn't pull anything out unless it is going to be an all out track car, and not a wantabee track car.

yeah it wont do to much have the same car and put all my rear parts back on its loud and when a cop looks into your car hell think your sh*t is illegal

cops where I lived never had a problem when my car was guted, but its louder and just ugly, like they said unless your going to make it a track star its not worth it maybe the rear seats and spare thats something you can easily put and pull out. I think the math is every 100pounds is a tenth off a second in the 1/4

I beg to differ my crx is completly gutted and i love daily driving it. I love the looks on the owners of the cars i keep up with and or beat.

If you want weight reduction get a light weight fly wheel and/or alternator pulley.

just like MagnaniEG6 for every 100 pounds is a 1/10th of a sec in the 1/4 mile.. So every bit helps.
