Another 7th gen wheel size question...

would a 17" wheel with a 45 tire fit well with a 1" drop?

width is 205, offset is +40

Yes, it will fit fine. 205/45/17 is actually quite a bit on the small side.

Tire will be much smaller than stock outer diameter. MUCH SMALLER, you need a minimum of 215/50/17 to make the outer diameter the same as stock.
