Just as the title states guys, how much do you have overall into your current SFWD car or project (estimated)? This should include the car itself, and any and all expenses related to building it, tuning it, etc.

I'm curious to see if any of us can truly face how much money we've sank into these cars...

Yeah I put it in there just to be consistent. Never know... could have a SOHC stock motor DSM turbo'd rusted out EF hatch out there for $5K

i dont know about the rest of you but i try not to count........ there was a time when each part was $500ish and then it went $1000 not too bad but now $2000 for each upgrade????? Hopefully it cant get any worse?!?!?!? almost done

I lost track and id rathe rnot think abotu it cause im still spending money on a second shortblock because someone screwed up the first one ( no names mentioned at this time) i know its well past 30000 and climbing

You should have a more detailed poll, like a percentage of the work you did vs outsourcing for each amount.

You should also figure out a way of how to incorporate Track results. E.t's and mph's. Because i wonder how many of those 20-30k ones are in the high to mid 9's going 150+mph in sfwd trim.

 

i am approaching the 20k mark and the car has yet to run a 1/4 mile...

same here...and its still has some minor things done to finally be finished up. MONEY PIT...lol.

 

we ended the 2006 season with a complete car, we already spent BIG MONEY getting ready for this season. i do not know which is lighter, the car or our pockets

I guess you guys should have built a Neon LOL, last count was around $4000. I did
all the work myself, donated some old parts form the Red car. I also got
some sponcer parts like the turbo-intercooler, Mega Squirt and converter.

Ok it's not competative yet with a 10.7 but it will have another 100-125hp this year. I figure low low 10's....
