i have 2001 LS with a skunk2 pro series intake manifold and i'm thinking about buying an aebs throttle body that is 68mm. The question i have is, is this throttle body too big? I have apexi n1, password intake, dc 4-1 headers, skunk2 pro series IM, and skunk2 pro series cam gears (going to be tuned soon).

I was thinking that it might be way to big for the small amount of mods i have, and are there any negative effects of running this big on throttle body on my motor (bad gas milage, etc..).

it's too big unless you are boosting or have serious internals. which you dont.

 

It also does no good if the inlet of the intake manifold isnt matched to be the same size as the intake manifold.

 

yeah thats about the only engine mods im going to do to my car, i'm just going to look for the right throttle body, and then tune my cam gears. no plans of anything else engine wise.

does anyone know what the best size throttle body for the skunk2 pro series intake manifold for an LS is?

 

measure the opening of the manifold and get a tb to match that
