Default 1992 Civic Hatch Engine Swap - n00b questions

I'm looking to swap out a 1992 Honda Civic Si with a b18c1 and I would like to hear everyone's thoughts on what would be the best deal to go with; not money, but quality, as far as engine upgrades are concerned? Like what are some good brands to go with when it comes to EXHAUSTS, INTAKES, HEADERS, CAMS, etc. This will be my first project car and I need any help possible. ex. What is the difference between ceramic headers and stainless steel other than look? Is this swap even a good idea, because I have seen this done on many cars, but does it really come out good in the end? Thanks in advance!
