Default T1R coilover install - too low?

it was my 1st time ever messing with the suspension of any car. Saturday my buddy messed up and let the axle pop off and had no clue how to put it back in. luckily after some forum advice I got it in. Sunday 3 hours trying to adjust them (coil height and shock height) on 1 side. Then yesterday was a quick 1 1/2 hours to do the right side. see my gansta lean at 1st.

anyways it's not very good pics but I wanted to know what you guys think. I tried to raise it as high as possible on the spring perches because my wife will be driving the car. it's like a 1 finger gap or a little less.

it rides ok so far but havent' done any freeway. on the street and can feel a little bounciness but not much. also i didnt mess w the damping adjustments yet. it took me a while to get the shock stroke height. I like this stance but not sure how the wifey will handle it.

new issues. when turning I get a loud creaking. it appears to be coming from the top of the coil since there's no rubber boot. any ideas on a fix? some bumps are pretty harsh. my wife hates it.

try finding some coil covers that came with the 96-00 civics.

tomorrow i'll grab you a part number, that should decrease the metal on metal sound.

this is the part number for those rubber spring boots.

this has stopped some squeking on past Fits with the t1r springs and they worked on my old ef with coilovers.

Lookin' good bro.

Unfortunately I had to go a little higher with my set up - I have to worry about snow plus the resonator in the Fujitsubo PowerGetter exhaust sits pretty low and scrapes on speed bumps.
