Default oil almost gone...oil leak??

well everytime its almost time to change my oil, i check the dipstick and my oil is almost gone...when i drain all the oil out i only have like 2 quarts of oil collected or less...i kno i should check the dipstick more often but dont get time around it...but anyways i dont think im burning oil cause i dont see any blue smoke or nothin...and i dont see any sign of leaks during oil changes...i thought it was my washer for the drain plug but after i replaced it its still the same thing...anyone have a clue about this??

one of my homies EG had a worn out piston rings causing it to burn oil quickly....his car wouldnt throw blue smoke but would only do it went at high RPM's and even then, it alot of smoke...but would still have to add about a quart about every 2-3 weeks...

The next time you're under the car...look above the oil pan. Check to see if you have any oil that's covering the block or seeping by the oil pan gasket. Also, even though you don't have any smoke comming from the exhaust pull at least one spark plug and check to see if they may have oil on them at all. Also down in where the spark plug sits to see if anythings comming through your valve pan gasket. Hope this helps.

what kind of engine do you have. I have a 00 EM1 and it does the same thing. People have all sorts of opinions on here about "where the oil goes." I used mobil 1 syn and used to burn quite a bit of oil. No evidence though through smoking. You will get some blow by at high rpms so if you beat on your car you will burn it. I changed my oil to royal purple 10w30 and have had no issues. My car also is not a daily driver so that could be why too. There is real no definate answer that anyone, especially in HT , has. You just need to watch it and see how quickly your going through it. Maybe some knowledgable guys will chime in and help you out because I never really got a n answer either when I asked where all my oil was going . GL
