Default CRX feels like its gonna break, missing 2 bolts in chassis up front????

Alright I have 2 missing bolts upfront of my car, it seems like its part of my chassis but I dont know. Its right below the radiator suppot. There are 2 bolts on the left and 2 on the right, I have only 1 in each side.

Now whenever I start to brake from 40 or so, It seems like the whole car shifts forward a little bit. I know its because of these bolts, also I realized I can bark into 4th gear with these bolts gone.

In the picture I have arrows pointing at where the 4 bolts are suppose to go. But the part that shows where I arrows are are part of the "engine mount" according to honda, I ordered 3 of those bolts and they are too long. Seems like they Fit, their just too long. Anyway I just put the "engine mount" pic together with the front stabilizer bar pic to make what it looks like.

This is the front lower part of car, like I said it seems like its right below the radiator, and I am missing 2 bolts.

you need #17's.. 2 of them.. and dont drive your car without them, unless you have a death wish. you should take the bolts back that they gave you and say they are the wrong ones...and get 2 of the #17 in the picture.

yes sir. you are missing the crossmember bolts. they are 17mm honda bolt that are about 4 inches long or maybe even 5 inches long. shouldent be hard to find. just go to honda and say i need 88 honda crx front crossmember bolts. all four of them that keep the crossmember bolted to the body. good luck

ya think thats bad. My brother chopped a notch out of my crossmember for a turbo and when I started driving the car it gradually rusted in half. Recently we discovered the condition, replaced it, and found 2 of the bolts loose, and the cross member was completely in half. I seriously coulda died because of a home made turbo kit

I had to notch out my front crossmember for turbo as well. Well after taking many turns really hard the crossmember broke and OMG was the car super scary and extremely loose. I went with the Z10 traction bar to replace.

Back to subject... Get those bolts ASAP! honestly I wouldn't drive that car until that is fixed! Your a hazard to yourself and anyone else on the road.

no, you need to re-phrase that. you could have died because you and your brother are half asses and could not A: fabricate a downpipe compatible for a stock crossmember, or B: box and re-weld the stock crossmember where you cut it for the downpipe to make it stronger, instead of weaker.

what im trying to say is, your turbo kit didn't almost kill you, your sorry excuse for fabrication skill almost did.

Normally I'd agree with you, but it was an exhaust/welder guy that did it a couple years ago. He drove it like that and it was fine because it had a reinforcement bar welded on it. Then the car sat for a while and I started building it up. I had no idea about it and it wasnt easily visible from the top or bottom. It wasnt till it started making noise that we checked it out and I fixed it. I then repeatedly called my brother a jackass for almost killing me. So thats that. Had it been me or him that actually did it, and I was aware of it the whole time, then I'd be a jackass. I like your name by the way.
