Default Wanted: Help Servicing Rally Car at 100 Acre Wood in Missouri (Feb 23-24)

By winning the Rally America West 2WD and Production Class championships, we're eligible to go to the Regional Cup Championship event at 100 Acre Wood Rally in Salem, MO February 23-24. Formerly known as the ClubRally National Championships, its similar to what the Runoffs are for road racing.

We will also be kicking of our campign for the 2007 Rally America G2 championship, which will air on ESPN2 (not sure how much, if any air time the 2WD cars will get, but who knows).

Its a bit out of our "home area", so we're looking for a bit of help servicing. Salem is about half-way between Springfield and St. Louis.

Mechanical experience, especially with Honda/Acura is a plus.
Duties will include setup and teardown of the service area, prepping car, fixing broken stuff, cleaning windows, changing wheels, bleeding brakes, etc. Usually a fair bit of fun and can be challanging for the crew.

Right now we have a family member who will be helping out, but we can use some extra help. If you need or want to stay overnight, we have an extra bed at the hotel/motel. Its a volunteer effort, although we should be able to provide meals.

If interested, send me an IM and will get more details for you.

Thanks!

-k

If you weren't in Missouri I'd help out. Oh, and then if you changed the date of the event to any other weekend. Sorry dude, good luck finding someone!

Wow!
Your photos are fantastic! The best I've seen on the net. You caught the movements very nicely. Marcin? I can only hope you catch my yellow ITR at STPR, Maine, and LSPR; the same way you captured these images. First rate.

Dope! Any chance I may be able to use high resoultions of those for our press release? I can probably chip in a few bucks if you're down.

Thanks!

Just got back (three day drive, 2200+ miles each way, long haul) about an hour ago.

We had a great time and a pretty good run. Struggled on Friday, radiator fan wasn't working for first stage and car overheated when we stopped at the end. Had to limp the car for two stages and hemorraged time. Fixed it at next service, but on one of the night stages we hit a dip hard enough to take out our map light, so we lost a bunch of time then as well. Still got the regional win for our class, but 13th overall and 5th in 2wd.

Saturday we got our act together and ran a nice clean rally. Finished 4th overall in the regional rally, second overall 2wd, first in class. On the weekend finished 16th overall in the National, second in Group 2 and second in 2WD. Consolidated the Production Class Regional championship win, 2nd 2wd and 4th overall in the regional championship.

So we accomplished our goal of taking our production class car out there, winning the championship and scoring good points in Group 2 for this next season.

We're in 5th in the 2WD and 4th in Group 2 Rally America 2007 Championships. I think we'll be able to take the lead in both (hopefully) with the next two rallies being in our backyard.
