haha i wasnt supposed to post that last pic was a mistake

well its a 98 ex
f22b1
94 h22a1 trans
innovative h22 into ek mount kit
act stg III clutch

the motor in the pic is not the motor in it now cuz the junkyard gave me a bad motor so i got a new one with the silver valve cover. also im going to be switching the trans to a ex accord trans cuz the case cracked on the h22 trans plus im gonna be boosting it. but the first weekend i drove it, it beat a modded 00 si and stayed even with a 1st gen gsx. its a pretty nice tourqey swap and was pretty cheap.

Nice. Now just put a different head on that block. I'm putting an F23 block into my 97 Civic coupe in the next couple of weeks, but I am using a DOHC Non-VTEC head from an H23 motor and an H23 tranny. I've been planning this project forever but now I've got the money lying around to do it and the resources because I've been working for Honda for about 9 months now. The motor is built for boost but I'll be breaking it in all motor for a few thousand miles first. Should be torquey though even without the turbo kit. Good job on your project.

I just threw an F23 into my sol. I did a 12lb flywheel with an f22b1 tranny, ecu and intake manifold. I love it. I really don't understand why more people don't go F in civics....

Id like to know why they dont either, They are great motors with a good sound. I had a 94 Accord f22b2 and it ran damn good to be what it was.

ok never mind i quess i could put the h22 head that i got onto my f22 but i tink im just gonna put that head on an h block. Then im just gonna port the f22 head and go with a good cam.

The best thing bout this swap is that everone believes me when i tell them is a bone stock single cam cuz there ignorant and it kinda does look like the stock motor. LOL

This is a swap I've been interested in for a while. The f22 is an extremely underated engine. I started a thread a while back- it has a lot of good descussion check it out:

About 3 years ago, I put an f23 into a friends civic.
The car had lots of torque and was a blast to drive!

im interested in this swap, but it seems like it would get somewhat expensive considering axles and mounts would cost about $800... but the motor and tranny are cheap

it'd be nice to see dynos.

Yeah, unfortunately the rest of the car was pretty damn hideous at the time of the pic, so I only bothered to take the one.

Those F22 and 23's can be found for so cheap too. Its not a big deal if you have a blow out on one of those compared to other engines.

LOL thats my friends philosophy. He just boosts the hell out of his accord and if it blows he just spends 275 and throws a new motor in. The junkyards are full of them
