hey i have a question i hope you can answer ....i have a plug and play HID setup in my 88 civic 4dr that was installed by the previous owner. About 2 weeks ago i notice that the left front healight started to flicker, somtimes also the color seemed to change from bluish to a brighter blue color. then one day while leaving a friends house the driver side headlight wouldnt turn on or it would flicker then go out but everyone once in a while it would turn on again. i got really frustrated !!! i started trying to trouble shoot the problem searching like mad to find a soulution i tried everything checking my grounds/wiring/fuses it all seems to be where it should be! now the light does'nt even flicker it makes a almost a buzzing sound for about 1-2 second then goes quite, but without any light. then while driving home today my passenger headlight started to flicker when i got home ...the light was flickering a little so i flicked my lights on and off a few times its seemed to help for about 30 seconds then it started to flicker again so i turned them off for a min and then back on and the passenger light is now doing the same thing the driver light was doing and not turning on all the time or turning on but taking a long time to warm up or not turning on at all ............someone please HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

 

it sounds light the lightbulbs because the ballast sounds like its starting up plug and play kits are hit and mis game so you got to weed out the problems find somebody that has the same plugs and see if the bulbs might be burnt out or other way around

 

but the passenger light somtime comes on if the light was burnt out wouldn't it not come on at all? and same went for the driver side light it sometime came on just recently it stopped even flickering out

 

dont really know sounds like its got a internal problem do you have a relay wire harness that might work whats the name of the kit

well just take the suspect bulb and plug it in to the other side and if it works its your ballast. if it doesnt work its probably the bulb thats bad, just check and put the known good bulb in the side that didnt light and use that ballast. its possible the ballast started to go bad and took the bulb with it.
