Default 2007 civic si drivers seat mod

Does anyone know if there is a way to mod the seat height in a 2007 Civic SI coupe? I love the car but I need a min of 39 inches of head to tail hieght. If I can lower the seat just 1.25 inches I could get the car.

My other option is to trim that much off of the top of my head. or tilt it a lot Being tall stinks at times like this. Great car and I dont fit.

Does anyone know if the seat brackets or the seats themselves can be modded. Really appreciate it if so.

Thanks,
GG

This might sound stupid but.... did you know the seat can be adjusted up and down?

Othewise...I don't know how to make it go lower than its lowest setting.

sunroof

but seriously, there is a lever to "pump" your seat lower. It should go about an inch and a half.

Are you 5'9" with 24" legs? I'm 6' and have no problem.....I also have a sunroof. Try 'pimpin' the seat a bit.

Aye, no "pole up the ***" seating in the Si, sir!

I'm about 5'11", and my hair touches the roof every once in a while. Of course my hair sticks up another inch or two from my head.

6'5" here.... with room for a helmet too!

The specs online are quite deceptive in the Si.... it is well worth a real sit down in the car to see if you fit... can't fit in the coupe? There is always a sedan

You guys gotta be kidding me...i thought for sure the new Si's would have a lower seat position! Well I have a 2000 Si and am 5'11 and I kid you not it makes me feel like I am a giant and sitting up in the clouds!!! I used to have a Prelude and my buddy has a Del Sol and they both have low seat positions, almost as if you are lying in the car, just like a true sports car!

I think someone needs to fab up an aftermarket seat rail for Honda's and Acura's...from what I read, i know it will be a good seller!!!

If you guys run into anyone offering a seat mod let me know. I am 6'5 also but I test rode it. Have to tilt my head even with the tilt back Roof slopes too fast and it doesnt help much.

Arrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhh great car....no seat base height adjustment.

Thanks guys.........was hoping someone might have run into the same thing and had made a mod base bracket or something. I know...why try so hard buy another model. This is just a great car for the $$$$.

I always could go Hightower from Police academy...pull out the drivers seat and sit in the back.

There are companies that make said modified seat rails for the RSX... one would think it is only a matter of time before they have one for the Civic (I will be purchasing one when they do!)... one can't have too much headroom!

Yea there are two handles on the left side of the drivers seat. One is to tilt the seatback and the other raises and lowers the seat. It's like a crank. Put it all the way down, if it's still too high then...... i dunno.

try lowering the seat down.

i don't know... my husband is 6'4" with a really long torso and short legs (think he only has a 32" inseam which is the same as some guys i know who are 5'6". he has no problems in my SI as far as head room. however, his knee does seem to kind of hit the e-brake a lot.

My boyfriend is 5'11 and he has plenty of room. He even spikes his hair which adds an inch.

You do realize that there is a difference between 5'11" and 6'5", right? You boyfriend might reach my nose if he is really 5'11" and not just saying that to add a couple of inches

That's because the e-brake positioning sucks a fat one in the Si. I'm surprised they didn't reposition it for the 07 model year, but perhaps they will for the mMC. Honda can't possibly think it's not an issue that hasn't come up.

For all those complaining.......I wanna see some pic's!!!! I know '07 4doors have adjustable seats, I know cuz I have one. I'm about 6 foot and with the seat raised to the highest position, I'm still inches away. I never actually sat in a coupe, so I'm not sure the difference.

If you are "about six feet" which probably means 5'10"... and you have "inches" in the highest position which is only about a 1.5" adjustment, then add 6-8 MORE inches on top of your height and imagine that

Why do people under 6 feet tall not understand that there is a big difference between 5'"10 and 6'5" when it comes to cars?

If you're 5'9 and hit your head on the ceiling, I'd really like to know how you reach the pedals with your remarkably short legs.
