Squeaky Clutch on 06 Civic?
Hi all,
I have an 06 Civic LX with < 4000miles on it. I've been noticing that after I drive it for a while (about 20-30 miles), my clutch starts squeaking, and I feel vibrations through the clutch as I disengage on 1st and 2nd gear only. It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough to get me a little concerned. I've driven other Civics in the past, and I have never heard this sound before. I brought it into the dealership, and they could not reproduce the sound. Any thoughts as to what this might be?
Thanks in advance.

Well it's normal to feel slight vibrations on the clutch pedal. As long as it's not too severe you'll be alright. As far as the squeaking....not sure. Have the service advisor go on a test drive WITH YOU so you can pinpoint the problem to him. Maybe then he'll be able to "duplicate" it.
The squeaky clutch isn't anything new. My '05 had that problem.
What it turned out to be was the clutch master cylinder spring had "worn out", and was rubbing on the walls of the master cylinder.
Possibly could be the same issue with yours.
