92-95 aftermarket lock actuators hooked up to OEM door lock switch
I have the OEM door lock switch and was wondering if there is a way that I can connect this switch to my actuators so that it will control them? I currently have aftermarket actuators to power my locks but am about to install power windows and mirrors.
Is there a door lock switch on the driver side only? I would think that you would just wire the switch into the actuator, which should unlock the door. And will it unlock both doors? If it doesn't, then you'd need a power switch on both doors to unlock the doors with power. I broke my passenger actuator by manually unlocking the door too often, as my alarm locked the doors when I started the car, and when I armed it. When I would pick up people, with the car running, I would have to unlock them like that, hehe.
here are some wiring diagrams. Do you need picture of the actual switch and actuator?

if you have the pigtails for the oem switches i dont see why i wouldnt work . i was just talking about this with a wireing guru in m area tonight and he said that it would work on my hatch but we were talking about the spal kit . what kit do you have
yes you can do it. i did it in my car, then i swapped for oem locks so they would be quieter. you have to get a meter and check the switch there will be a common wire going in and a wire coming out for lock and another for unlock. then you will have to determine whether your door lock relays are being pos. or neg. triggered. once this is determined you will need to feed the same(pos. or neg.) into the common wire on the switch. then take the output wires from the switch and hook to the according relays for lock and unlock. viola your done. if you dont understand this ask suspended hatch or fcm in audio /video as they can explain better than i can. hope this helps
So I was looking at the wiring diagrams above and was thinking that I should connect the white/red from power door lock control unit to the blue wire on the actuator and the yellow/red wire to the green wire or vice versa depending on whether the blue controls the actuator to unlock or lock the door. What do you guys think?
the swith should have 3 wires, one wire should be common, the other two are for lock/unlock
if they used relays and your aftermarket alarm/keyless uses negative pulse, then you should only have to hook up the common from the switch to ground, and the other two wires to the lock/unlock wires, which in normal aftermarket keyless systems are green/lock blue/unlock, and that should work, but you could also go to the people who did your (keyless entry) and ask them to hook it up shouldnt cost that much i would only charge like 30 bucks at most

I put those locks in myself. So basically I just need to connect the green/lock wire from the actuator to the lock wire from the switch and the blue/unlock wire to the unlock wire from the switch? I have the OEM power door lock control unit and was just gonna put that in and then tap into the actuator wires from the switch wires.
