After it seemed I really get used to my ITR and I was ready to sell it, I did something I normally would never do... I went out for stupid street racing last night.
A Mercedes Benz 205 Evo driver called me out. This car is a 2,5l 4cyl rwd with 200+whp. Mods: I/H/E a/f chipped
First we checked out a quartermile-strip and raced two times. Both times I lost 2,5 car length. The Benz had hell of a grip and was simply stronger.

After this we entered the Autobahn to give us a topspeed fight. Topspeed racing is very pulse-pounding, espeacially when two equal cars go for it. Then the drivers start to play with the air drag of the other car. Pulling near side by side and coming out of the shadow.....

The race resultet in an equal fight... My speedo said 260km/h when I ran into my rev limit (8500 at the moment). He wasn`t able to pass me. I guess if I`ve had set the rev limit to 9000 where it belongs, I would have been faster than he was.

Today I went out to the Hockenheim-racetrack to give myself a second impression of my ITR but unfortunatly there was an event. The "drift-challange"... Funny.

I know, street racinig is but this was important for me.

I decided to get my R fine-tuned and kw-lowered and to sell it away next year..

 

I wish I had anautobahn to play on...
