Tranny lock-up solenoid... where to start
hey everyone, i got a 93 prelude si... auto tranny. The D4 light has been blinking... I checked the code, its 1 and 2 (lock-up control solenoid A and B). Can someone tell me where these solenoid are located? I never had this trouble in any of my cars before, so can someone tell me what is the first step I should take. Should I change the tranny fluid first or that has nothing to do with it. I know how to fix an engine, but never really had problems mechanically with the transmission before. Thanks for the help.
i think they are the gold cylinder things on the tranny. if im not mistaken there are 2 sets of 2 of those gold things on the tranny but the lock up solenoid is more on the top of the tranny where as the shift control solenoid is more lower on the tranny if that made any sense
do you think changing the tranny fluid will do anything or that has nothing to do with it. the tranny fluid has been changed pretty recently... about a year ago. Does it have anything to do with the tranny fluid?

this is gonna be more towards the electrical side, i forget which one is the lockup solenoid, but take it out and check with some wires, when power and ground is applied, there should be a click to hear it work, if you have a click, then you know its working, if it does click, time to start measuring wires back to the ecu. hope this helps a bit
