Default Honda Element warning/idiot lights on dash question

Hi,
I have a honda element 2004, and have a question about the warning lights/idiot lights on the dash board. The "D" for drive has an oval light around it that keeps flashing, does anyone know what it means??? Thanks!

Best place is to post in the Element forums (I believe it's the CRV/Pilot/etc one)

My 02 CRV has the same problem. When it comes on while driving, it flashes until the ignition is shut off. After restarting, it stays off for a few weeks and then comes on again. Our local Honda Dealer has no clue and the owners manuel say's that it warns of a transmission problem. There is no noticable slippage and the fluid looks and smells fine. Anybody else experinced this same problem?

Tranny problem. Flashing light means that a dtc is set.

Take it to your local dealer.

On my 2011 Honda CRV, a warning light on the dash is a "wrench" icon. The manual says this means it is time for regularly scheduled service. How do I get it to go out without taking it to the dealer? The method of turning the engine off, pushing the reset button and turning the key on does not work.

Your local Honda dealer has no clue? Its like the check engine light, except for the transmission. It needs to be scanned for trouble codes.
