i bought a tranny from a dismantler and i saw a few lines or mayb cracks im not sure but can u guys help me??? is it normal??

the new one the cracks or lines on at the same spot

should i b worry about this or is it okay to slap this tranny on??

 

there are usually lines all over the tranny but it looks like you've gotta hole buddy...

yea i 4got the other pictures so what do u think?? go back to the dismantler or slap it on???

I say put it up. I don't think i've ever seen any tranny w/o the lines on it.

 

k hopefully this tranny wont break on me in a few months ahaha...

 

naw it should be alright as long as you don't bottom out or anything like that. Like I said, I don't recall ever seeing a tranny w/o the lines... Good luck w/ it!

 

sometimes theres flash left from when it was made. The case is not billet but cast aluminum. Run your nails on it...do they sink in or do they bump over the cracks?

 

what would b better over or sink in???

 

ive had 3 trannys and all of them have those lines.

go ahead and throw it on. hell its better than the first picture anyways

Well, if you took a second to think about it.....if it sinks in, then you have a crack. If it bumps over, then it is flash.
