when im in fourth gear and im coming 2 a stop sign the car slams in the gear it makes a disturbing thump sound like it was forced in......also 1st to 2nd gear it does the same also is this normal or is my tranny screwed beyond belief???????

 

Those cars are known for bad transmissions. You'll be looking at needing a rebuild, how many miles do you have on it ? around 90-100k is when everyone has problems

 

yeah it got 88k but its was like dat since 80k but not as bad~! damn that sucks how much u think is a rebuild?

 

I believe that yours may be under warranty, not sure on the years/mileage on it, I would suggest calling your local Honda and ask about it.

I think they did an extended warranty for those trannys but since I don't own one myself I didn't pay much attention

 

I dont think his car would qualify under any warranty unless it was an 01-02 model
