i believe the recaro sr-II(recaro that comes stock in jdm ITR's) is slightly slimmer than USDM recaro SRD's(they look like the sr-II's). the lettering and material are also different. SRD's = cloth sr-II's= suedish material(i forget the name)

Yeah, it's the different material, cloth vs "suede", and the smaller fitting size. The letters are diffferent too. You basically paying more for JDM OEM.

Yeah, it's the different material, cloth vs "suede", and the smaller fitting size. The letters are diffferent too. You basically paying more for JDM OEM.
is it real "suede" or fake?
do you think it's worth the price?
i believe the JDM's are almost double the price. right?

The fake suede is alcantara, the same material as the US ITR seat. And the belt guides are velvet covered.
Seat side bolsters on the JDM are also more pronounced. The fit is a lot tighter than the US Recaro SRD. They are totally different once you sit in each one.
New JDM Type R Recaros are about 4 times the price of US Recaro SRDs.
