I'm sorry if this has been covered before, I searched and searched but I cannot find the right string of words to type into a search engine to yield an answer
.
On that note it's a pretty yes or no question.
If I was to put an H22 in my car and use an H2B adapter plate so I could put a B-series tranny on, would I still need to cut the holes in front of the shifter for the shifter cables to go through, or would the stock linkage work fine?
I would believe that the stock linkage would work fine w/o having to cut the holes but I'm not sure.
Also, which B series tranny is most comparable to the H22 tranny in terms of gear ratios being long versus short. I was thinking the GSR, but I do not know much about the H22 tranny. Anybody want to put some insight in on this?
TIA!!

You do not need to cut holes since there are no shifter cables. Routed like d-series and b-series trannies
I never had an H22 tranny but my guess would be the gsr transmission.

the H tranny's have much taller gears especially 4-5th. I would say it's closer to an LS hydro tranny.
And like already mentioned the transmission sit's in it's OEM location with the QSD kit therefore the shiftlinkage bolts up like there is an OEM swap under the hood.
